Pella Windows and Doors is the most recognized wood window and door manufacturer in the world today. The company was founded in 1925 by Pete and Lucille Kuyper residing in the small Iowa town of Pella. They invested in a retractable window screen that operated like a window shade. The couple went on to form Pella Corporation and the company is still family owned and professionally managed.
Murphy’s Windows and Sunrooms began selling Pella products in the late 1980’s and has progressively grown with the organization. Murphy’s sells and installs the full Pella product line including the Pro Line Series, Architect Series, Designer Series, and most recently the Impervia Fiberglass Series.
From its inception Pella has been at the forefront of window technology and window innovation. This can most be seen with the development of their Designer Series collection. The Designer Series offers between-the-glass window fashions (blinds and shades). Now eliminated is the need for window treatments and their required care and maintenance.
